Delivery and orders

+ Can I return my order if I’m not happy?

We can’t accept returns because of hygiene purposes. However, in the rare instance your order is incorrect or the container’s seal is broken, please contact us, and we’ll make it right.

+ Do you provide a tracking link?

Yes! You’ll receive a tracking link by email once your order is ready to ship. If it doesn’t work right away, don’t worry—that just means the carrier hasn’t checked it in yet. Once they do, the link will be active, and you’ll be able to track your order.

+ What does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on orders of 3 packs or more. For 1- or 2-pack orders, shipping is $9.99.

+ What if the product is damaged?

If you receive a product with damaged packaging, don’t worry—most of the time, it’s still safe to use, as long as the seal is still intact. You can find more details about damaged packaging here.

If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to contact us, and we’ll be happy to help.

+ What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel your order at any time before it’s dispatched. Once your order has been shipped, we can no longer cancel it as it will be in the hands of the couriers. To request a cancellation, please contact us at support@formuladiscounter.com

+ When will I get my order?

We ship worldwide within 2-5 business days, but delivery can occasionally take up to 10 days due to customs.

If you order before 1pm CET (Monday to Friday), we’ll ship the same day.

+ Are goat’s milk formulas better than cow’s milk?

Goat’s milk formulas are growing in popularity, but they aren’t necessarily better than cow’s milk. Some babies find goat’s milk easier to digest, as its proteins are closer to those found in breast milk.

If you prefer a cow’s milk formula, Holle A2 is a great option, as it contains the same type of protein found in goat’s milk and breast milk.

+ Is DHA good or bad? Do you carry any DHA-free formulas?

DHA is an essential fatty acid that supports healthy brain development and is naturally found in breast milk. EU regulations require DHA to be added to all formulas, so we don’t carry nor do we recommend DHA-free options.

Some formulas use DHA from natural fish oil, while others, like Holle Goat, use DHA from algae. Both sources provide the same key benefits.

+ What if my pediatrician recommends a formula that’s not in your store?

We always recommend following your pediatrician’s advice. However, keep in mind that doctors may not be familiar with every formula brand. If you find a formula in our store that seems right for your baby, it’s worth discussing it with your doctor to see if it could be a good alternative.

+ What’s the difference between the formulas you carry?

All the formulas in our store are organic, made from milk sourced from grass-fed cows or goats raised in natural, free-range environments. The main differences between them come down to how the milk is processed between different formula types or brands.

Some formulas use starch to create a creamy texture and make the formula more filling, while others avoid it to make digestion easier for sensitive babies. There’s no right or wrong, it’s just a matter of what your baby prefers.

+ Why do some of your formulas contain starch, while others don’t? Which is better?

Starch, including maltodextrin, is commonly used in formulas to make them more filling, especially in Stage 3 or 4 formulas for older babies who need extra energy.

While starch is perfectly safe and part of most diets, some babies—especially younger ones—may find it harder to digest. If your baby has trouble with digestion, a starch-free formula might be a better option.

+ Why do your formulas contain oils? Are they safe?

Oils are an essential part of formula, as they help match the fat levels found in breast milk, providing the energy needed for your baby’s growth and brain development.

All the oils in the formulas we carry are organic. Common oils include sunflower oil, and some formulas may also contain fish oil, which provides DHA—an important fatty acid found in breast milk.

+ Why is European organic formula a good choice over the products in my local store?

European organic formulas often meet stricter standards than those outside Europe. Most of the brands we carry are EU-certified organic, ensuring they’re free from hormones, GMOs, added sugars, artificial preservatives, antibiotics, and pesticides.

Some formulas, like Holle, also meet the Demeter standard for biodynamic farming, which follows natural climate cycles. While we offer some non-EU certified brands, we trust their processes to be just as high-quality, using pasture-raised milk and meeting other strict standards.

Prepping and storing formula

+ Can I make a bottle to feed later?

Once made, formula bottles are safe to feed within 1 hour at room temperature, or up to 3 hours if kept refrigerated. Do not use after this timeframe, as bacteria can multiply once formula is prepared, which could potentially make your baby sick.

If you need more convenience, try HiPP or Kendamil ready-to-feed formula. It’s pre-prepared, so all you have to do is pour it into a sterilized bottle and feed.

+ Can I use your formulas for combi feeding?

Absolutely! Many parents combine breastmilk and formula, and European organic formulas are a great choice for this, as they’re closer to breastmilk in composition.

+ Do I really have to boil and cool water to make formula?

Yes, boiling water is important to kill any potential microbes in the formula powder, which could make your baby sick. This is more of a precaution than anything, and is standard for any formula! After boiling, let the water cool to room temperature before feeding to ensure it’s safe and not too hot for your baby.

+ How do I check the expiration date?

European expiration dates are formatted differently than in the US, with the day and month reversed. For example, September 1, 2024, would appear as 01/09/2024 or 01.09.2024. The format is always (DAY/MONTH/YEAR).

All our formulas have a minimum of 4 months’ shelf life when they arrive, and most have at least a year before expiration. We ensure that only fresh, recently produced formulas are shipped. If you ever receive a box with less than 4 months until expiration, please contact us.

+ How many bottles can I make with one box or can of formula, and how long will it last?

The number of bottles you can make from a box or can of formula depends on your baby’s age and feeding needs. For an estimate, check the product page for each formula.

Newborns typically drink smaller bottles more often, so a 600g box will usually last about a week. Toddlers, on the other hand, may only need 1 or 2 larger bottles a day, meaning a box or can will last longer.

+ Is it OK to keep an open container of formula for a few weeks?

We recommend using an open container of formula within 3 weeks. To keep it fresh, always reseal it properly—use the can lid or re-seal the foil pouch in a box. Store the formula in a dry, dark place, as humidity can cause it to spoil faster.

+ The preparation instructions on my package aren’t in English. How do I prepare the formula?

Don’t worry! You’ll find the preparation instructions in English on every product page in our store.
